Phoenix Suns All-Star Devin Booker made his highly anticipated return to the lineup in Tuesday's game against Memphis, following a five-game absence due to a left groin strain. Despite his efforts, the Suns ultimately fell short in a close 117-112 matchup.
Booker last played Dec. 19 in a loss to Indiana. The Suns lost four of the five games they played without Booker, who is averaging 25.1 points and 6.4 assists.
Booker scored 16 points against the Grizzlies, missing 16 of 20 shots while dishing out nine assists in 30 minutes.
Suns starting center Jusuf Nurkic was also out while serving the second game of a three-game suspension for his involvement in a fight Friday night in a game against Dallas.
